Patient Participation Group

The Aims of the Patient Participation Group

The group has been running now for many years and we have around 10 regular members.  We meet approximately every 6-8 weeks to discuss ways in which we can improve the experience for both patients and staff.  The group do work very hard on behalf of the practice and have provided us with many good ideas which enable the practice to shape their future procedures and processes.  It has been a very challenging time recently as I am sure you are all aware of the demand on the NHS and GP practices and with the assistance of the group we hope we can in some way improve the service for patients and staff.

You can find out when the next meeting is by asking at the reception desk.

The Group is not a complaints group – there are other procedures in place to deal with complaints – however, we do need your views and suggestions.

The Group will try to implement any suggestions made or inform you why it may not be possible. We really value your input.

If you would like to bring a particular topic to the group’s attention for discussion, please contact Emma Watts, Practice Manager, who will add the item to the agenda.

Getting Your View

You can be part of a wider network if you don’t want to attend meetings: we can liaise with you by email or post and capture your views and suggestions.

The group would like to contact patients on occasion by email and/or text so that they can obtain the views of the widest group of patients possible. We would like to obtain your email address and mobile phone number to do this. Please complete the Patient Contact Form to provide your consent for this.

We want to make sure that all our patients are represented, so we would like people of different ages, cultures and needs to let us know their views.
