The practice will generate and sign all repeat prescriptions within two
working days (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays) of receiving a request to do so except where:
◦ we have tried and failed to contact the patient , if needed before the prescription can be issued safely,
◦ where a medication review is pending and must be undertaken before the prescription can be issued safely. The request for a medication review will be highlighted on the patient’s most recent prescription and on SystmOne online.
We aim to generate and sign repeat prescriptions within 24
hours of a request but because of the need to ensure patient safety
patients should allow two working days.
We will do our best to provide prescriptions in urgent circumstances but
will not compromise patient safety to do so.
Patients can order repeat medication by posting a repeat slip in the post box inside surgery, or have access to SystmOne online
You may also hand your prescription in at the reception desk.
WE USE EPS (Electronic Prescription Service)
Our practitioners send prescriptions electronically to a Pharmacy of your choice.
This makes the prescribing and dispensing process more efficient and convenient
for patients and staff because you can order your prescription and collect it without
requiring a traditional paper prescription.
